KidKarters.com and Williams-Motorsport.com are proud to announce it's sponsorship and support of the 2005
J1-SpeedSeries.
We have all felt for a long time that there should be two kid kart
classes, a novice group for the beginners and an advanced group for
the more experienced drivers. This format would address several
issues that currently cloud the kid kart class. Founders Chuck
Maranto & Anthony Levy have created a junior racing series that
picks up where many of the sanctioning bodies leave off. By
offering two classes for the kid karts, running at a variety of tracks
and a points system like other classes the J1-SpeedSeries has elevated
the kid kart class to a new level.
The Novice Class is an
excellent place for the new comer to the sport to get his or her feet
wet in motor sports. The motors are stock and restrictors are
used to keep the speed down and the environment safe. And most
important, the use of tech inspectors to ensure everyone follows the
same rules, leaving little room for the "gray" area which
the kid kart class is famous for having. The AllStar
class is for the more experienced driver, the restrictor is removed
and a certain amount of modifications are allowed to the motor.
To compete in the AllStar class the driver must prove he or she has
attained the necessary driving skills to compete in the more aggressive
class. Both classes are awarded points, the Novice receive
participation points and the AllStars receive points for finishing position.
. Currently the J1-SpeedSeries runs in
the mid west but they are actively working on getting a south east series
and a California series going in 2005. If your interested in
getting your driver involved the J1-SpeedSeries or would like to have
a J1-SpeedSeries event at your
track you can visit J1Speed.com
for all the details. Our hats go off to Chuck
Maranto & Anthony Levy for taking the initiative to create a more
"realistic" and competitive environment for what are truly
the foundation of motor sports...the kidkarters.
